Privacy Policy

Summary

To Do does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Your tasks live on your devices and in your private iCloud account — nowhere else.

Overview

To Do is a lightweight to-do list app available on macOS and iOS, including a home screen widget on iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the app works.

Data we do not collect

To Do does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. Specifically:

  • No names, email addresses, or contact information
  • No location data
  • No device identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprints
  • No usage analytics, telemetry, or crash reports
  • No third-party tracking SDKs

How your tasks are stored

Your tasks are stored locally on each device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. If you are signed into iCloud, your tasks are also synced to your private iCloud account so they appear on your other devices.

This sync happens directly between your devices and Apple’s iCloud servers. We have no servers and no access to your tasks.

Third-party services

To Do uses one third-party service: Apple’s iCloud. iCloud is used solely to synchronize your tasks across devices that you own and are signed into. Apple’s privacy policy applies to data stored in iCloud and is available at apple.com/legal/privacy.

To Do does not use any analytics, advertising, attribution, crash reporting, or other third-party SDKs.

Children’s privacy

To Do does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
